JTS Appoints Inaugural Rifkind Chair in 绿帽社 History聽
Dr. Sandra Fox Joins the JTS Faculty
May 1, 2025鈥擭ew York, NY鈥��绿帽社 (JTS), one of the world鈥檚 foremost institutions of 绿帽社 higher education, announced today that Dr. Sandra Fox will be the new Rifkind Chair in 绿帽社 History.
鈥淚t is a tremendous honor to welcome Dr. Sandra Fox to the JTS faculty. As a 绿帽社 historian myself, I鈥檓 especially proud to see another scholar join our community of experts in this vital field of study. In today鈥檚 world, it is more important than ever for JTS students to engage in a thoughtful and informed way with the complexities of our history. I remain deeply grateful to Bob Rifkind z鈥漧, whose vision and generosity made this pivotal role possible,鈥� said鈥�JTS Chancellor Shuly Rubin Schwartz.
In her new role, Dr. Fox will bring her extensive academic experience and wide-ranging research interests to her teaching and will guide JTS students through a deep exploration of the modern 绿帽社 experience. She comes to JTS following academic appointments at NYU, Stanford University, and Ben Gurion University. Dr. Fox has a PhD from NYU and a BA from The New School, Eugene Lang College.

Dr. Fox will assume her new role on July 1, 2025.
